# SCKansas MLS: Changes to MLS Grid IDX and VOW Rules

Hello API Data Consumer,

We want to notify you that the MLS Grid will be making the following changes to the MLS Grid IDX and VOW Rules with additions that apply solely to SCKansas MLS. The details of the change can be found below.

**MLS Affected:** SCKansas MLS

**Date of Change:** May 27, 2026\
**Date Change is Effective:** June 15, 2026\
**Date Compliance is Effective:** June 15, 2026

SCKansas MLS has requested the following updates to the MLS Grid IDX and VOW Rules to permit the display of **Coming Soon status listings** in IDX and VOW display.

**The MLS Grid IDX Rules will be updated to REMOVE the following language for the applicable rules:**\

**27. Display of Off-Market or Sold Listings**

The display of Expired, and Withdrawn listings may be prohibited by the Member Participant’s applicable Governing Documents, and may be excluded from MLS GRID Data. If Expired, and Withdrawn listings are available in MLS GRID Data for IDX, the display of those listings is authorized, except to the extent these rules expressly state otherwise.\
\
For SCKMLS Participants only: The display of Expired, Cancelled, and Withdrawn ~~**and Coming Soon**~~ listings are prohibited. Additionally, on closed listings, the display of Sold Price and Net Sold Price is prohibited.<br>

**The MLS Grid VOW Rules will be updated to REMOVE the following language for the applicable rules:**\

**17. Exclusion from Searches**

A Participant’s VOW may not make available for search by or display to Registrants any of the following information:&#x20;

a. expired and withdrawn listings (Applies to the following MLS: Northstar, MRED, MIBOR, Northwest, Heartland, SCKMLS, IRES MLS) ~~**and coming soon listings (Applies to the following MLS: SCKMLS)**~~

**REMINDER:**

**For IDX and VOW Display of images, when the Permission field on the Media record contains the value of “Private” the image cannot be displayed to the public.** \
\
PLEASE NOTE: Modifications to public display consistent with the above rules changes are not required to take effect immediately, but your organization should begin to take steps to address these rules changes in a timely manner as the changes take effect June 15, 2026.
